23. Star Commander

Big couple of nights of nerd-ism. I starting reading about this program called Star Commander and realised I had everything required to give this a crack stacked in a nice little pile. Essentially all I wanted to do was transfer some C64 disk images back to old 5 1/4" disks so I could load and play them as god intended (provided god intended for old games to be given away for free on the internet). And it worked! It was a bit hit and miss but I managed to get "How to be a complete bastard", all 5 disks of "Lemmings", "Mayhem in Monsterland" and "Lunix" up and running (although if you look closely Lunix is have a 'kernal panic'??!!)

That first pic is Star Commander running from a boot disk - RHS of screen is the contents of the PC's a: drive, LHS is reads and displays contents of a 1541 drive connected via XE1541 cable. Oh the joy.
