34. Atari cartridges

During my usual Saturday morning spin around the 2nd hand shops I stumbled across a couple of boxes of old atari carts. Unfortunately they weren't at the usual "we're just giving this shit away" prices (but nothing is anymore, I blame ebay), but that didn't stop me from having to buy each one that I didn't already have. There are so many more important things I could have spent the money on. Adding them to the existing pile and it's starting to look pretty impressive:

I've run most of these through the rarity guide at Atari Age and unfortunately I'm coming up a little short, I believe they should have paid me to take many of these. Except perhaps for this Atari 7800 32-in-1 cart (believed to be Aust only) and the "double ender":

33. Assorted finds....

I've had a really good run at the 2nd hand shops recently, so took a few snaps prior to shelving...probably never to played with again....

Three Atari 2600s - two of which look pretty new. No power supplies or nuthin, now juggling 1 between 5, but they all appear to work

The "Rambler" multi-band receiver. Count 'em - AM, FM, SW1, SW2, Marine, Air, Police, Weather. Minus a power cord but I popped in batteries and it goes....I think. I can't actually hear anything other than on FM. But no matter, it looks rad.

Three Super Nintendo Entertainment Systems. Only 1 very temperamental power supply between them, they all seem to go but it takes a pushing and prodding of the cartridges to make the games pop up, maybe it was a common issue once they get old. I imagine there is hours of fun to be had with these when I get a chance.

Thorn "portable" TV, can be run of batteries. Built in Radio. I love this, VHF only so for the time being I can get Southern Cross here in Tassie...Australian Open coming through on top. There are not many options for inputs on the back, other than the antenna and I've desperately been trying to tune some external in...but with avail. It would be nice for this to have life as a TV once analogue is switched off, but it's not looking promising. But provided FM radio still exists, this will be the most ridiculously oversized way I can imagine to listen to the cricket.

I'm betting this would have been an awesome "boom box" back in the day. Well it still is, except I got it real cheap cause the tape players don't work. See above re- ridiculously oversized radios. Graphic Equalizer, SW, Line In, High Speed Dubbing, Detachable Speakers. Weighs a tonne so not sure if it was designed for lugging on ones shoulder (or whether I'm just soft).

32. Colecovision & Coleco ADAM

One of my favourites, and all seems to work fine as well. The Colecovision has expansion module 1 (so you can play Atari 2600 cartridges) and module 2 (steering wheel). The ADAM computer is a bit of a beast - when first first turned on it's in "typewriter mode" and even the ink in the printer still works. BASIC is loaded of a tape.

31. Master System 2

Picked up a heap of games the other day too....

30. Couple of Atari 2600s

28. Commodore SFX

With the acquisition of the 'old style' C64 below I was able to test this musical keyboard overlay thing that I've had laying around for years. It worked a treat.
